Horizontal Glass Washing Machine with Sponge-Roller Drying – SZ-W12

Compact Glass Washing and Drying for Everyday Production

The SZ-W12 horizontal glass washer provides a complete washing and drying process in a compact 3400 × 1750 mm footprint.

Glass is transported horizontally through the washing section, where four pairs of rotating brushes clean both surfaces. It then passes through three pairs of sponge rollers that absorb and squeeze away most of the residual water. A temperature-controlled hot-air system completes the drying process before the glass leaves the machine.

With a minimum glass size of 150 × 150 mm and a maximum processing width of 1200 mm, the SZ-W12 is especially suitable for smaller glass sheets and general-purpose flat glass production.

Four Pairs of Brush Rollers

The washing section is equipped with four pairs of brush rollers for thorough cleaning of the upper and lower glass surfaces.

Water spray and rotating brushes help remove dust, glass powder, light oil residue and other surface contaminants left by cutting, grinding, drilling or handling operations.

The four-brush-pair configuration provides an effective washing process while maintaining a compact and economical machine structure.

Sponge-Roller and Hot-Air Drying

After washing, the glass passes through three pairs of absorbent sponge rollers.

The sponge rollers remove most of the water from both glass surfaces through direct contact. The glass then enters the hot-air drying section, where heated airflow removes the remaining moisture.

The hot-air temperature can be set according to the glass thickness, production speed and workshop conditions, helping provide a consistently dry surface for subsequent handling or processing.

Two- or Three-Tank Water System

The SZ-W12 is available with either two or three water tanks.

The two-tank configuration provides a practical solution for routine glass washing while keeping the equipment investment under control.

The three-tank configuration allows the final washing stage to use cleaner water, helping improve water management and the consistency of the finished glass surface.

Adjustable Processing Speed

The conveying speed can be continuously adjusted from 0.6 to 4 m/min.

Operators can select an appropriate speed according to the glass dimensions, surface condition and required washing and drying result.

Stainless-Steel and Corrosion-Resistant Construction

The machine covers are made of stainless steel, while components in contact with water use stainless-steel or corrosion-resistant materials.

This construction helps protect the wet section against corrosion and supports reliable day-to-day operation and straightforward maintenance.

How the SZ-W12 Works

1. Glass Infeed

The operator places the glass onto the horizontal infeed rollers, which transport it into the washing section.

2. Brush Washing

Four pairs of rotating brushes clean the upper and lower glass surfaces while water is sprayed onto the glass.

3. Sponge-Roller Dewatering

Three pairs of absorbent sponge rollers remove most of the residual water from both surfaces.

4. Hot-Air Drying

The glass passes through the temperature-controlled hot-air section, which removes the remaining moisture.

5. Glass Outfeed

The clean and dry glass leaves the machine ready for inspection, packaging or subsequent processing.

FAQ

1. What is the SZ-W12 glass washing machine used for?

The SZ-W12 is designed to wash and dry small and medium-sized flat glass before inspection, packaging or further processing.

2. What is the maximum glass width?

The maximum processing width is 1200 mm.

3. What is the minimum glass size?

The minimum glass size is 150 × 150 mm, making the machine suitable for relatively small glass panels.

4. What glass thicknesses can it process?

The machine processes glass from 3 to 12 mm thick.

5. How is the glass dried?

Three pairs of absorbent sponge rollers first remove most of the surface water. A temperature-controlled hot-air system then completes the drying process.

6. Is the hot-air temperature adjustable?

Yes. The drying temperature can be set according to the glass and processing conditions.

7. What is the difference between the two- and three-tank configurations?

The two-tank configuration is suitable for routine washing applications. The three-tank configuration provides an additional water stage so that cleaner water can be used toward the end of the washing process.

8. What is the processing speed?

The adjustable processing-speed range is 0.6–4 m/min. The appropriate speed depends on the glass size, surface condition and required drying result.

9. What materials are used in the wet section?

The machine covers are made of stainless steel, and components in contact with water use stainless-steel or corrosion-resistant materials.

10. Is this machine suitable for factories with limited space?

Yes. Its compact dimensions of 3400 × 1750 × 1100 mm make it suitable for smaller workshops and production areas.
